BladeRnR Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 (edited) BTW firmware is updated, so no need to do. A shame it didn't work out for you Frank but then the ARO on the Fathom's is very good and the Sound Technician did a good job from what you described on AVS forum. Hopefully Richard will get some use out of it as it's a fine unit for what it does. Cheers Blade Edited October 15, 2008 by BladeRnR

The sound enginner got spot on. Don't really need it.
brodricj Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 For the life of me, why? I reckon SMS-1 is the best bit of kit going around at the moment, and at that price point it's a steal!! Even if you have full blown Auydessy or Neptune EQ then the SMS-1 still has it's place, especially if you want to drive multiple subs from a single source to get smooth bass response. Waiting on the new owner to file a report on findings after install.
Guest Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Because my JL audio has a built in EQ already, because the Sound engineer that calibrated my subs got it close to spot on when i checked his settings. I do agree if i had my Focal subs I would of used it as they don't have no eq at all.
