chriswoo Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 All, Last night my Atlas box did something i cant find described here anywhere. After holding down the 'Austar' button for about 10 seconds i get a menu that allows me to choose "austar digital" or 'Public Bouquets'. When you choose 'public' you get a channel nine that it cannot decode. Can anyone fill me on on what this is all about?? Cheers, CHRISWOO.
Douglas Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Huh. Interesting. Public Bouquets would probably be satellite channels that you can get for free (Optus Aurora, maybe?), just as a stab in the dark.
Sam3280 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Oo that is interesting i'm trying to take the smart card out and get it to work that way
Douglas Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Doesn't work on MyStar, but I didn't expect it to, anyway.

chriswoo Posted October 12, 2008 Author Posted October 12, 2008 I am actually also a paid up Optus Aurora customer and adding my card to the decoder made no difference when in the 'Public' mode..
Jason_dinAlt Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Ive seen that before on my old box that looked like an atlas but was bigger. It happened a couple of times when they changed the stream to stop the cards working in third party boxes. The channel numbers went back to the old numbers as well. When it was playing up "public bouquet" kept popping up on the screen, the box would reset, the channel numbers would stop at 55, after a couple of seconds "austar digital bouquet" would pop up on the screen and then bang, it would reset again, with the channel numbers back to the newer numbers. Then I discovered that if I put in my old austar card (pre V2) it would do the same thing except Id also get a this card does not belong to this box error message once it restarted back to the "publ;ic bouquet" The old UECs could call up a list of bouquets by holding down the sat button, in the goldie days you would get public, VIP, austar, foxtel and optus in the bouquet list.
jer Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 There are now 8 channels listed under Public Bouquets 1 SBS 2 Channel 7 3 Channel 9 4 Channel 9 5 SBS News 6 Channel 10 7 ABC1 8 ABC2 All are Error Message E37
aafuss Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Interesting-I have a Flinders box, but holding down AUSTAR button gets you into AIR (aka CH 830).
