OatleyLad Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Hi folks, I have the Logitech Harmony 785 but am still a bit of a newbie. It has been one of the best things I've bought I also have the latest software from Logitech 7.5.0 Daylight Savings I'm a New South Welshman .. (we've just gone into daylight savings). Can I check whether anyone else is having difficulty having their Logitech remote updating the time correctly? It doesn't seem to use the computer's time but a Logitech servers (which has not been updated with daylighyt savings???). I tried setting to GMT +11 and updated the remote, but it didn't update the time! Foxtel Saturday night's at midnight are fantastic for us English Premier League freaks! 4+ games on at once with the multi soccer feature. After you have started watching another game though, I've got to get the old Foxtel remote out to 'cancel' the sports feature (ie hit the foxtel button) if I want to watch another channel (the wife gets control when I'm not looking). Can someone please share how they have programmed this on their harmony? Thanks all. Edited October 8, 2008 by OatleyLad
Shonky* Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 (edited) Can't help with the daylight savings problem. All the remote codes are in the database. Just program the Foxtel key to a special custom button on the LCD whilst in the "Foxtel Activity". Edit the Foxtel activity and then customise buttons and the "Additional Buttons" tab at the top right. Edited October 8, 2008 by Shonky*
diesel Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I have a 525 so I can't help with the clock time problem either, but the biggest trick to the Harmony is to setup activities and use those to watch TV, DVD Foxtel etc. Only use Device mode when you need to get to a not often used command
Gutty Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 You can change the time on the remote without plugging into your PC. Just got to devices or activities(forget which one) and should be a setup option. Only problem i have, is you can't select AM or PM so my remote has the right time, but 12 hours out....
Volunteer Kazz Posted October 8, 2008 Volunteer Posted October 8, 2008 On the main screen of the remote, where you have the activities there should be one called system options you can set the time in there. On the 880 it has a 24 hour clock so no am/pm.
OatleyLad Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 thanks everyone ... I knew people would have the answers!
