Garincha Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 hi all, Just received my Selby wall mount and I was wondering if there is a consensus or a formula for wall mounting display panels in terms of height from the floor. It's in a living room and the viewing distance is ~3m. Thanks

Garincha Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 From your watching position your eye level should be about the middle of the screen. Thanks for the tip, my new problem now seems to be a high amount of AC power running through the wall according to my stud finder. Almost every stud has an AC current next to it which may be due to the kitchen being located on the other side of the wall, although at least it's a gas cook top. I'm considering cutting a hole in the plaster board so i better visualise exactly where all these wires are going.

Garincha Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 All done, the screen is now fixed at 90cm from the floor to the bottom of the screen. I could lower it up to 15cm but it looks about right where it is. It was quite a tricky job getting it together and in the right spot for the studs, but that was partly complicated by my overly sensitive stud sensor. Thanks for the help
