myrantz Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Surfing the news on the internet and I came across this storyhttp://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/633499/ba...esian-porn-bill I was appaled that this may happen to Bali, how dare the goverment and one section of a scociety impose in such a way ! To be honest I think the push against porn is all religious based, Muslim and Christians. The religious factions have a clear stand on morality, but they are clearing breaching it.. OTOH, it's so hard to separate morality issues from the porn business... The pub thing is probably unacceptable here in Australia but is probably more than ok in Japan (I've heard but can't verify the Japanese actually sell worn underwears via vending machines)... Thanks to the media the pub got alot of free publicity, I think that's the whole idea anyway. Sex just sells, the ban of sex just makes it sell harder. stop the world I want to get off, I had thought we had fought and won all these battles back in the 70's, we must be vigilant You may just get your wish, if the LHC experiments went out of control... The Earth might actually stop spinning...
kulfi Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Maybe the Brisbane Broncos players thought a no-undies event was on when they assaulted a woman in a nightclub last week .....
Mr.Bitey Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 I think the broncos thing is a matter for the legal system - the story I read she only started complaining when someone started recording it on a mobile phone... As for the muslims........... its their way, or the highway <- way high <- up in the air type blown. Cheers, Bitey
kulfi Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 They'll be able to use lack of intelligence as a defence Or maybe plead that they were very tired from the game and misunderstood the woman's gestures. The extreme behaviour of footy players has become a fact of life. All that ordinary folks can hope for to remain safe is to avoid crossing their path. To top it all, the girl who was glassed by Bird pleaded with a court to allow her to go back to him !
Meinoz Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 They'll be able to use lack of intelligence as a defence For me it's more like; You're all being paid over $250K a year, surely the 3 of you could have chipped in a couple of bucks for a room..... What were the disabled supposed to do while they were in there. I'd be fined if I parked in a disabled parking spot. Shouldn't they too? PS. I know, they have their own disability.
