$20-$25, unless it's an absolute must have (Indy maybe :)) otherwise I'll buy the SD when it gets marked down

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

$15 or less, I wait for the markdowns unless it's movie I really want

If Blus were 29.99 on release I'd be buying more of them

I will pay $25 for a Bluray, if I have to pay more it has to be an amazing movie that I haven't seen yet (by some weird occurance) and I have to have.

Most I've paid for a Bluray is like $50 I think? Wouldn't do so again tho.

Don't buy DVD anymore, haven't done for a while.

Question 1 - $20 to $25

Question 2 - I don't buy DVD's anymore, unless they're tv shows

Question 3 - $30 would be the most i would pay for a BR movie... and it would have to be something i REALLY wanted.

Basically after spending so much on DVD, i'm a lot more hesitant on spending money on Blu-ray.

Pretty much what mxlegend99 said, except I would still consider DVDs if there's something worthwhile (like older, but big titles including classics) between $2 to around $15.

Box sets I'm now happy to wait. If I wanted to keep them for a long time, then I don't need to own them right away.

$20-25 (catalogue titles); $28-$30 (new release with decent extras)

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

No longer interested. Unless its some kinda obscure movies that would never see the light of Blu.

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

$40 (super special collector limited edition with multiple discs and some kinda cool packaging)

Around $5 per disc (i.e. 2 Disc Special Edition = $10, $30 for 6 Disc TV Show) [My max would be around $15 per disc]

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

$20 (terrible attitude to have except my Blu-ray player also plays HD's)

1. I shop around and get the cheapest copy I can get in Australia.

2. I don't buy DVD's any more

3. No Maximum (otherwise some titles I wouldn't be able to buy)

on top of this, I have a priority order which is I have to buy movies that have been out for ages based on release date, e.g. a movie released on 3/4/07, before a movie released on 6/4/07. The first priority on my list has been available for nearly 2 years, so has probably dropped in price compared to if I bought it the day it came out.

Question 2 - DVD = $10 for old, $15 for new, $20+ for Collector's Boxed sets / Limited Edtions only

Question 3 - MAX BLU = $50 BUT limited to '1 most wanted' per year only

Question 1 - what are your price point/s for Blu-ray discs - that is what price do you say YES or NO.

Base price is A$20-$25 for an average title. On a must have title though will go up - would pay $30+ for Master and Commander for instance.

Think I will get more into Trading titles on this forum with the A$ demise...

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

Only bought 2 DVD's in the past 18 mths. Thi is more from a futureproofing POV, was the the same with VHS in 1999. Will only buy DVD if they are not available on BD or unlikely to be so for the forseeable future. Got the Rome series 2 set from the UK for $40 delivered and the Aussie production of The Final Winter for $20. Wouldn't pay any more than this for DVD.

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

I will pay US$60 + freight for Band of Brothers. Probably that or more for LotR when that is possible...

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

I have an new oppo so still buy DVD's if I know it's not coming to BD soon, usualy with a new realease i buy at $25 or less, what ever the best price I can get on old stuff , average $15

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

No idea, never paid more than $42 for a new realease but then never had to, most are under that.

1 15-20 + delivery so 18-23

2 10-15 + delivery so 15-20

3 27 including delivery

That is A$ not USA$ or Euro so don't see getting many in the near future.

As example would like Kill Bill 1 and 2.

Amazon have both for US$40 plus delivery. AS in one box set it is about US$8.00 delivery. So 24 each but with exchange its about 28 per title which is above my max.

1 - $20-25au for regular 1/2 disc blu ray movies

2 - Not buying dvd's anymore, and haven't been for about 18 months now, and that's despite some ridiculously cheap prices on good titles. There just doesn't seem to be much point.

3 - $30au would be absolute max I'd pay, and that would have to be for something like the Close Encounters or Bladerunner sets (both of which I actually got cheaper than that, now that I think about it).

Bottom line is, I'd buy more BD's if they were cheaper.

But, I'm also deliberately not buying loads because of the lessons learned with dvd. Initially I bought quite a lot of dvd's, especially of movies that were favourites of mine. But then you end up getting double dipped a lot. So I started to just buy movies if they were 2 disc or anniversary editions...Then, of course, you started to see 3 disc edition being put out...

I've already been stung on blu ray with I Am Legend and Casino Royale being re-issued to double dip, after having bought both of those when originally put out. So, unless it's a real bargain, I'm waiting. And the longer I wait the more I think the prices will drop.

Question 1 - what are your price point/s for Blu-ray discs - that is what price do you say YES or NO.

Really depends on the title. Catalog or not, it must be a disc/movie i am actually passionate or keen to spend any money on, be it $10, $30 or $50. Price point, however, would more often than not be around $28-30.

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

Locally released titles up to about $15, but international ones perhaps a bit extra ($20).

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

If we are including something like Band of Brothers here like Fouler suggested, then perhaps $60-70. A singular disc title, at the most $40-45 for a once a year purchase like Ritzav similarly implied.

Would have been interesting if a poll option had been added, but would have been complicated.

After getting Batman Begins, No Country for Old Men & I Am Legend for $19US each ($21AUD at the time) at Circuit City in LA a month ago I would have to say $20 :D

Back here in Oz, on Amazon $25 inc delivery and its a deal.

At below $20 I'll buy any movie on Bluray that I'd want in my collection. Will go to $25 for top title.

Question 2 - what is your DVD price point (if you are still purchasing DVDs)

DVD no longer preferred, but if a sought after new release then will pay ~ $18, but otherwise only interested at well below $10.

Question 3 - what is the MAXIMUM price you would pay for a Blu-ray disc

Probably no more than $50 for a box set/series, even if sought after. I know this because I've decided not to get Firefly on DVD at US$62, and that would be top of my list to buy at any reasonable price.
