kimzor Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Hi I want to join a group that will buy games constantly. I want to purchase games but I am sick of paying full price because in the long term it adds up. Since PSN will constantly add more great games. Anyone want to organise a small group? Add me on PSN: kimaz89
X-phile Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I'm not surprised you haven't had any takers because, without wishing to offend, your offer to form a buyer's group comes off as rather ambiguous - particularly when you inform interested parties that "PSN will constantly add more great games". Are you intending to buy games from the PlayStation Network (ie, PSN) - in which case how would a group share these? - or did you mean PS3 games per se? In which case, I'm not surprised you haven't had any takers (again) because all the games worth buying are hitting their stride on Microsoft's service. And before you accuse me of being biased, think again: I'm punching out this response via my PS3-friendly Logitech keyboard while surfing the net on my Region A PS3. And nup, despite a steady diet of Blu-ray discs I still haven't opened my US copy of MGS4 yet... Apart from Resistance 2 and Heavy Rain (oh, and a little something called WipEout HD), I'm not expecting too much else to tickle my gaming bone on "PSN"- so do please share an opinion of what other "great" games we should be gagging to pay for.
kimzor Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 I want to form a 5 person group that will share the cost of the game. Also would like games from US as well but due to entropay not working no more, I'm at a loss.
Guest Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I organised a game sharing setup on here last year. IT WAS A DISASTER. Somebody (by accident or otherwise) ruined it for everybody - and just to prove as organiser I didnt get away scott free, only 1 of my PSN games works after this debacle. Good luck with your idea.

Serious? What happened? Someone not pay up? ...I'm more looking for a group that has 4 people and needing or wouldn't mind a 5th. I can start my own I guess. Got 1 guy interested in sharing the bill
hypnotoad8128 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I don't see the point due to the licensing and DRM involved on PSN purchases. It's a waste of time, your just asking for trouble. And non-playable games. I want to form a 5 person group that will share the cost of the game. Also would like games from US as well but due to entropay not working no more, I'm at a loss.

Guest Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 People have been doing this since the day of release. You would think that Sony would ban it, wouldn't you? Do some more reading - there have been DRM on later games, especially the full price games. Remember to gameshare people need access to the account that paid, so not only do they have access to the account, but if they accidently click the download again, thats counts as two, or three etc. Thats when youre asking for trouble.
hypnotoad8128 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 They don't need to ban it. Because when that DRM kicks in, you lose your game all together. That's why the don't need to ban it. If you're dumb enough to do it, you'll lose the capability to play it. Simple as that! It's a stupid idea, what your wanting to do IS basically pirating because your only buying one license, for one user. But your wanting to use it more than your licence allows becaue your and your mates are too cheap to do the right thing and reward the developers for their hard work. It's people like you that have made this world of DRM what it is. I hate pirate scum. People have been doing this since the day of release. You would think that Sony would ban it, wouldn't you?

I dont see the point in it as I like to own the games and play what I want when I want, but is it really pirating? I mean how is it any different to buying a game and then lending it to your mate to play?
