Retroflex Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I have a faulty rear projection Toshiba DLP TV that also needs servicing, I also live in Perth Australia and was wondering how you got on finding a place to look at your TV or at least someone who could give me some advice? The colours from all input sources seem to be displayed in the complete opposite as measured from a colour wheel, e.g. blues go to green, greens to red etc. This happened gradually over a week but now has stabilised with the colours in their spectrum no longer changing. My first suspicion was that the lamp had broken as I have watched 2000-4000 hours since I purchased the TV in mid-2005 but the manual paints a different story, that one day when you turn the TV on it will either make a loud audible crack or the screen will just go black. I'm now left with a question, should I just replace the lamp? It will cost about the same just to replace the lamp through a purchased one from eBay considering I plan to double the use of this TV where I may need to replace the lamp anyway. My preference is to get the TV fixed. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on where I could get help? Thanks
