You'll be waiting a LONG while, Yamauchi has already stated that it won't meet it's March 2009 release, which was the delayed date from late this year. They are still focusing on prologue updates for the immedate future, which is a damn shame as I want to race the top gear track and the one in rfactor sux. Prologue is a must buy though, there will be certain unlockables in number 5 which won't be available without data from the prologue version. Plus, prolugue is so bloody cheap, why woudn't you get it.

If you are a Ferrari fan, I found Ferrari Challenge quite ok. If you are not a Ferrari fan, you may find it a little limiting, as there is no other cars except Ferrari's.

I believe Pure is quite awesome, if you can deal with offroad, ATV racing sort of stuff.

A free demo just went up on the PSN store...

Cheers!

So what other driving/racing games are there for the PS3 these days ?

I've got myself a Logitech G25 wheel and pedals, and want to have some more run. :D

what about Midnight Club: LA

is that any good, im thinking of buying it.

While I can't speak for the PS3 version, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the 360 version (although content-wise both games are identical). If you liked the 'hyper-reality' of GTA IV and don't mind taking the scenic route only (ie, confined to car), you'll not find a more white-knuckled ride this side of Paradise City.

However, what really won me over (and I'm still playing MCLA after several weeks) is the one thing that Burnout Paradise didn't have: a cockpit view. Compared to Grid's claustrophopic and unwieldy POV, this one's highly reminiscent of the PGR and TDU games, so everything feels snug and accessible. ;)

The city looks FANTABULOUS and you can take your pick from any number of 'hyper-real' landmarks when cruising. The AI competitors truly relish a challenge, and unlike Paradise, you can restart races instantly when you botch things up. Oh, and if you're going for the 360 version, do yourself a favour and mute the in-house music selections (and dialogue, for that matter). Repurpose the tracklist with your own and get ready to ZONE OUT!!

Heck, this game even gives you "special" abilities like EMP blasts that temporarily stall your opponents! A winner is you! :P

I was quite disappointing in this game myself. I got it because of the Ferrari content, but as a racing game it is pretty primitive really. there are much better choices out there.

And it takes ages before you actually get to race the different types of ferraris.

I would suggest Midhnight Club if you like the GRID type games.

nice you wont regret it since its only $50. if gt5p had nurburgring that would have been sweet as

$35 at CDWOW Here

I've ordered the GTP5 but what would you suggest for a nuffy that hopeless at everything? I'm really good at strategy games, and love Tiger Woods for the same reason - don't make me react or think too fast - so I'm thinking Burnout Paradise or GRID, something with pretty graphics and quite forgiving of inept driving?

Cheers
