crtlover Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 But....they won't accept an International Credit Card... so how do you pay?
ELK007 Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 But....they won't accept an International Credit Card... so how do you pay? Yeah, they have just changed their payment system. It now accepts them without having to get authorised thru Visa or Mastercard! I had internet authorisation set up before about 3 years ago on my credit card, so it didn't ever bother me. But now all you need is a credit card and it works just like Amazon!
AndrewW Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) US$5 per disc shipping sucks. edit: did a trial order for 9 items, including a couple of box sets, and it came out $14 more expensive than amazon ($268 vs $254). Edited September 12, 2008 by AndrewW
John_Melbourne Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 $6.00 Oz. I'd call it a bargain - well it would be if they didn't charge that per item! FFS though - are you guys all Scottish or something???

Yeah it does depend how many you order. I find that if I order 2-4 items. Tower is always cheaper even with the $5 per item shipping bcos Amazon charges $10.97 for 2 items anyway. Box sets is where it really pays off - cos its a still a flat rate of $5 per item no matter how big it is. Tower is definately worth a look tho if you are only after a few items!
AndrewW Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 FFS though - are you guys all Scottish or something??? I resemble that remarks. Hoots man, see you Jimmy, it's a braw bricht moonlicht nicht the nicht, och aye the noo.
ELK007 Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 Just did a trial order at Amazon with the exact same dvds and Amazon was US$11 more expensive than Tower, including shipping! Good exercise to do tho!!
VenomX2 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 seems their website is under maintenance.

tonyjg Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) Hi GuysCheck out the deals at TOWER http://www.tower.com/surf/blu-ray/browse.c...;bdid=103311298 There are a ton of movies for around US$14 Shooter Face/Off Italian Job Too many to name......flick thru the pages!! I recall seeing these titles on 'special' around the crappy B&M stores here like Best Buy and Circuit City here in SoCal. Added - are people still 'risking' using Tower after their stores closed and the business went 'balls up'?? EDIT - Fry's have them for these prices ! Edited September 12, 2008 by tonyjg
Fouler Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 (edited) hows the shipping times look like from Tower ? I ordered 2 titles and they shipped on Sep 2. If they arrive in the next week or so, then that would be par for the course. Edited September 12, 2008 by Fouler
ELK007 Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 hows the shipping times look like from Tower ? Thats the only down side about Tower. Their shipping takes about a week longer than Amazon. Between 2-3 weeks usually. But if you don't need your discs urgently, then just let them trickle in. If you do want them urgently, try their other shipping options (Expedited & Priority).
