Fwoy Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 (edited) I have been recently looking into getting tv show box sets on Blu-Ray and as such was looking up Lost Season 4. Not withstanding the diffrence in price, I am intrigued to see EzyDVD listing as pre-order with a release date of October 29, as opposed to Amazon US listing their release date as December 9. My question is this...how reliable are the listed release dates on these sites? If the EyDVD date is correct, I may be willing to pay that bit more knowing I get the show over a month earlier, plus the extra savings on shipping times... mxlegend99 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I had noticed that a while back and still can't believe that we would get this show that much earlier then the US. Especially when we haven't received Season 3 yet, and it's not on the EzyDVD list as coming out at all. I've got it on order though. The worst that can happen is it doesn't come out and you just cancel the order.
momaw Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 When deciding where to purchase this from, keep in mind that the US release of Season 3 was region locked.
hypnotoad8128 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 It's not that uncommon though. Syndication issues in the US can sometimes slow down releases in the US which is why they lag sometimes compared to OS releases. cjp12 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Try Lost at Amazon UK... ...released a week earlier than the Aussie version and is significantly cheaper. It's also assured to be compatible with local players as both the UK and Australia are region B.
mxlegend99 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Awesome. Just pre-ordered it from Amazon.co.uk MUCH cheaper and should have it in my hands around the same time, if not earlier.

Where's season's 1 to 3 though???? Some obsessive compulsives like myself would like to watch the whole shebang in order on Blu!
Guest bramt1503560357 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 So has anyone got theirs yet? How is it?
Art Vandelay Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I've had mine for a while now (picked it up from Amazon UK on pre-order), and it is a must have for fans. The PQ and SQ is easily the best of any TV series realeased so far on BLU/HD DVD, and certainly improves greatly on the HD signal from Ch7. The extras are extensive as always, the Lost recap in 8 mins, or whatever it is, is good fun. We just need them to get Series 1, 2 and 3 out on Reg B now. Btw, saw a few copies at a Borders for $109.95, and with a 40% off coupon can be purchased for $65.95. Not sure when the voucher offer expires though...
Guest bramt1503560357 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Cool, I just bought it off eBay reg B for $50 :-)
