Remove mains power from the unit, wait a while, then re-connect. If problem recurs frequently, get the box replaced.

Will try that and see how it goes, thanks for advice. Another thing I have found is if I am watching a show I recorded and then hit the fast forward button a couple of times to get it up to X30 it also goes weird and turns itself off ? not all the time but I reckon once every few weeks this happens but it just goes back to normal after a few minutes. Will un-plug it tonite.

The IQ box does some weird **** at times (last week it seemed to drop all series links for example) but a reboot seems to sort out just about all issues (save the audio drop out problem).

The IQ box does some weird **** at times (last week it seemed to drop all series links for example) but a reboot seems to sort out just about all issues (save the audio drop out problem). and this has happened a couple of times now and happened last night. Anyone else ? I recorded the movie 300 and last night went to watch it, hit fast forward and about 2 mins in there was a load clunk and it turned itself off and rebooted, did the same again and same thing happened, so on 3rd time just let it play not fast forward but it seemed to get to the same spot and turn off. Like there was something there telling it to to that ? so just deleted the recording. do some recordings get corrupted ?
jaxmachine1007 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 i recorded city homicide on IQ1 ON Monday when i watch it last night , it was skipping though the lines, like it was on fast forward. was this a channel 7 problem or was it a 1q one?
simedog Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Jax, we had the same problem but with a different show a couple of weeks back. A reboot (Select+Back on the unit) fixed the problem and playback was fine after that. Good luck.
