scarecrow420 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 (edited) Yeah it clearly states that in the fair use policy, that's what I was having trouble understanding because of the wording they usedbut turns out it just meant you get charged the excess if you borrow more then 8x the amount of discs your allowed at once. I have been using them for quite a few months now, and IMO they are absolutely fantastic... we exclusively use them for blurays and they always have the new titles available as soon as they are released in Aus - they even send them out the day prior to release day if they have them. Especially if you live in Brisbane, the discs get to you in only 1 day, whereas with others like Quickflix it was taking 2 days to get discs back. And the prices are the best I'd seen - $29.95 a month for 3 out at a time, with "unlimited" exchanges (yes this is still subjec to fair use policy but you'd be pretty crazy to get 24 swaps done in a month!). It's funny - we do not OWN A SINGLE BLURAY MOVIE, yet have watched 50 or 60 of them since February - so that's $150 in membership fees (yes, less than the cost of buying 4 or 5 new release BDs from the shop) - it works out to $2.50 - $3.00 per movie, which is fantastic value. And most of the movies are ones i would only want to watch once. Their customer service is great too - if you email them to check when a title is available, they can usually "help you out" with making sure that title finds its way to you , plus we had 2 movies go missing in the mail, and they were more than happy to send immediate replacements so we had others to watch over the weekend, then the originals still hadnt shown up after another week, we just had to sign a stat dec and we didnt get any hassles about being asked to pay for the titles that went missing or anything else. This probably sounds like a paid advertisement for them, but i have no affiliation what so ever, I am just a very satisfied customer I definately reccomend giving them a try, particularly if you live in Brisbane/QLD due to the shorter mailing times Edited July 6, 2008 by scarecrow420
drsloppy33 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 i can also recommend their service....i use them solely for wii games and have been very happy....
DR.ZOIDBERG Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I thought their P/H was fast etc but I only ever used them when they first started and got done for renting too many. Have not used them since. Was many moons ago
auswoffer Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 (edited) Will give it a go. Prefer to rent than buy. Don't seem to offer the 14 day trial anymore? 1 day turnaround for BrisVegas is good for me. We have it great in the Sunshine State Edited July 8, 2008 by auswoffer
