If you saw the message, then you don't need to do a re-scan. The upgrades were yesterday.

Does anyone know what they did?

STW is looking a bit different now! Maybe noticed new coverups lately from what was regarded as the cleanest nine station in Australia (Refusal of Watermarks and advertising during programs) are long gone. What happened is WIN has decided to relocate most operations to WIN Headquarters in Wollongong, in order for this to happen changes would have to be made to the signal. As for the ad, if you can see 9 or 9HD now, you should be fine! It happened between 5:30am and 9:30am friday (27/6) morning.

As for HD they had problems with the signal today, so HD may take a couple days to sort out, so this should only be a short term problem.

Minichip,

Are WIN taking the HD encoder and the HD playback equipment back to Wollongong to increase the amount of native HD programming required. After all they must transmit 1040 hours/year of native HD programming as required by their licence.

Is this the reason 9HD looks like SD? The Today show in the mornings is usually crystal clear, but i have noticed this week it's been crap quality.

9HD back last night in Perth, with lovely new logo and a reduced bit rate down from 15Mbs to 14.5 thanks WIN.

And now I try and watch "The Closer" from Friday night the sound is miles out of sync. Stuff it back to BT

HD Resolution also down from 1920x1080i to 1440x1080i and DD 2.0 removed from SD channel.

From the best DTV in Australia to the worst.

Must be contagious :)

This morning on the Sunday show on Nine Perth they had a WIN "9" watermark transposed on top of the "9 HD" one :wacko::wacko:

Let's hope they weren't breeding :P

My 9HD has been out of sync all day whether using a stb or the built in tuner, anyone else having the same problem?

There was a sync problem last night as well when I sat down to watch Footy Classified, it wasn't there at the end of the Gordan Ramsay show but as soon as FC started it was there.

I have noticed that on both our tv's the sound is out of sync on channel 9hd. I starting noticing on the programs I had recorded last Friday. Tonight I gave up watching 9hd and went with 9 sd....at least the sound is in sync. I keep thinking it will right itself eventually.

Thanks for confirming the sync problem, everytime I mention this here some brightspark chips in that they don't have a problem. I have several different HD boxes and all suffer from the sync problem.

On my Ch 9 HD PC recordings the only way to fix the sync is to add 250ms delay to the sound using VideoRedo. So while I do that the adverts get chopped. So thanks C9 (WIN) no more watching live. What a bunch of morons?
