I have just bought a topfield 7000HD PVR and already have a harmony 525 remote.

If I have the activity "watch TV" switched on, then set a timer recording on the PVR, if the recording has started when I press the "Off" button on remote, the PVR puts up a box telling me that a recording is in progress and do I want to switch off and has a place to click on "No", but sometimes the TV goes off before this box appears so it just stays there and doesn't switch off when recording is finished as I haven't been able to click on this box.

Does anyone know how to set this on the remote to fix this.

I don't have a 7K, but it does have a lot of similarities to the 5K, so with the 5K, if you don't press any button at this point that the pop-up is up, then it will switch to standby once your timers are finished. (i.e. leave that box up!) If you choose yes, it will stop the timers and shutdown, if you choose no, then it won't shut down. While this box is up on the 5K, it ignores the power key also which is nice, so if someone later on goes to switch everything on without realising the box is already on, it won't switch off.

Change your settings so that the Topfield does not go off when you press off on the Harmony.

I second that. Best to not let the remote turn the PVR on or off. They take too long to start up several times a day, and the remote *might* get confused if the PVR has turned itself on automatically to record a timer. I just manually turn it on in the morning and off last thing at night. As mentioned before, if something is recording it should turn off when it's done.
