Hi,

I'm thinking of getting one for these

for my

WIN XP SP3

MSI MS6799 Motherboard 1 X AGP, 5X PCI slots

3.0 Ghz P4 Hyperthreading 2GB RAM

ATI Raedon 9600

I like the fact that I can record analogue from a VCR and that I can watch and record digital TV in MPEG and DivX.

Anyone running one of these in a similar PC to mine ?

Any problems ?

Am I likely to pick up one of these cards cheap at a swap meet in Melb ?

That specific one you've linked to is for NTSC (analogue) and ATSC (digital) which are the American standards. In Australia we use PAL (analogue) and DVB-T (digital) for television.

You need to check there is an Australian version - the hardware will almost definitely be different between the two. It's not just different firmware/frequencies etc.

Thanks - I understand that - just interested to see if anyone is using the OZ vers of the card successfully here on a system like mine.
