Guest Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Well thats good news I still got nothing. Received an email form them saying that they had problems with there forwarding agencey which has cost them so much money in replacements. Maybe the guy working there sent them to Austria instead of Australia.

I have since cancelled all my orders with them. If they cannot guarantee they will deliver what I pay for and tell me it's my problem if those items don't arrive, then I'm not going to gamble just because they sometimes send a week early. Early shipping doesn't help if it takes a month to arrive, if ever

Im going to stick with Amazon for know on for one of the reasons is that I like the idea of each BD movies having the cover art next to it. Sometimes you forget a film and the cover art tends to remind you.
Data Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I received an order from them today, was shipped Jan 7. Had an order from Amazon sent on Jan 17 that arrived last week. If this is their new level of customer service, they'll not get any more business from me.
Guest Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I have to agree with you guys here I find that it has become most annoying that this has happened.
Guest Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Well looks like they deliverd my FedEx package to the wrong place also, there doing really well!
Spero D. Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Expedited Shipping has slowed right down and they are slow in shipping titles now. Some ship before release date and some after, and same preorders when released are just out of stock
Spero D. Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 My latest batch via Expedited Shipping from DVDPacific just turned up. 17 days
eyeinthesky Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Just sent an email to DVD Pacific, as it has been well over a month since my CC was debited, and still no DVD's. Order was sent Int Priority Airmail. Had a quick look at their FAQ and it states that they tried using Swedish Airmail. Yep, the same mob that Amazon, and a few of us had trouble with previously. Funny that when I placed the order, it didn't state that my package was going Swedish. You can bet my DVDs have been to all four corners of the globe.
Spero D. Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 A Int Priorty Airmail sent movie just arrived today. What once took 7 days took 30 days. Not impressed. Could of chosen standard shipping and ended up with the same result and saved some money.
momaw Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 DVD pacific have lost my business. 4 deliveries in a row with paid for Priority International (15 day max delivery) all arriving in excess of 5 weeks after shipping (the most recent shipped 30 Jan has not arrived at all). When I contacted them regarding these shipments, the replies where almost contemptuous and basically said tough luck. I'll be shopping exclusively from amazon in future. They may wait until release day to ship, but if you have a problem they rectify immediately and always courteously. You would think with a global recession, sellers of luxury and discretionary goods would be supportive of their remaining customer base and do everything to protect it. Someone should send them a link to this thread so they can see the results of their atrocious shipping, their un-consumer friendly policies and their poor treatment of customers. I'm a pretty loyal customer and it takes a lot for me to write off a business I have used for a while, so if the likes of myself are dumping them, they must be losing many many more of the fickle shoppers who jump ship for a 50c discount.
Guest Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Same here momaw they did the same to me to which in return I wrote them an email wishing them best of luck especially in these hard times I will now be dealing with Amazon. I actually go between amazon Canada and Amazon USA.
Volunteer Kazz Posted March 12, 2009 Volunteer Posted March 12, 2009 Yep they've lost my business as well, it's now a month and a half since my last order was shipped and still no sign. First email I sent them was met with the tough luck line, the second with "yes it looks like it may be lost we will replace" but they have no stock so who knows when it will finally get here.
Spero D. Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 At least I know what to expect in response to my email I sent today
Volunteer Kazz Posted March 12, 2009 Volunteer Posted March 12, 2009 At least I know what to expect in response to my email I sent today If it's about an overdue order make sure you send the email to returns@dvdpacific.com not <orders@dvdpacific.com> as you will get a better response.
Guest Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Its funny like most we all spent so much with them starting from the days of HD DVD's buying both formats and I bet if we all go back and look at our invoice pages which consists of Blu rays and even HD DVD invoice I shudder to think how much we all individually spent with them.

I wonder if they will notice when we all stop buying from them.
Guest Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I wonder if they will notice when we all stop buying from them. I hope so Kazz. I wonder if they rely on international customers for there business as most americans go to Best Buys to pick up the BD.

Well if they do rely on international customers then they're not doing themselves any favours by the way they're treating them. Not very good customer service I'm afraid.

I certainly can wait a week or two who cares. I've still got plenty to go through

momaw Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I added up my invoices and pointed out how much I had spent in the last year with them when I was asking them why I should continue to buy from them and they didn't give a flying.....

Did you get a shock on how much you spent? Like me you were there in the hd dvd day so I can imagine how much you spent.
James Belsey Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 My order from late Jan turned up last week, whilst the one from 2nd Feb still hasn't arrived yet. I'm sure it will eventually turn up, but still a bit annoying. I complained and got a refund of the difference between the priority shipping and the standard shipping, with the rationale being that I didn't receive a priority service and as such should not pay for it. On a more positive note, my copy of Australia that was shipped 2 weeks ago today arrived yesterday, sent standard international, so it looks like they have changed their mail provider and it's much better now I can't really blame DVD Pacific, I'm sure they were told by their mail provider that they would get good service, they didn't, they've had complaints and now they've changed and it seems better again.
