Priory Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Just spotted this while browsing GraysOnline, anyone got a spare $15,000 http://www.graysonline.com.au/lot.asp?LOT_ID=2715071
Wags69 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Just spotted this while browsing GraysOnline, anyone got a spare $15,000 http://www.graysonline.com.au/lot.asp?LOT_ID=2715071 I wonder how that would compare side-by-side with a 70" SXRD? I'd go the SXRD!
drsmith Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) I wonder how minor the marks and scratches are. Side by side would be an interesting comparison with the SXRD. Edited June 17, 2008 by drsmith
Trigg Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 (edited) Not going to be much different from 52"X Series apart from the twin backlight and size!. Sorry make that the tri - backlight! Edited June 17, 2008 by Trigg
Sabor Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 $70,000 retail for one of these babies? Nice. Will be interesting to see if anyone actually bids even at a paltry $15,000.
drsmith Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Street price I imagine would be somewhat less. That's assuming someone has actually walked off the street into a store to purchase one.
kulfi Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 That's assuming someone has actually walked off the street into a store to purchase one. What's the point of buying a refurbished product for $15,000 ? I could fully furnish a unit (with 50" plasma TV) for that much. Or .... upgrade my HT setup (but the wife wouldn't let me !)
suparockin Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I bought a 63" Samsung full HD plasma for $6490, for 7" more and LCD there is no way I would pay that much more.
Owen Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I would if it where any good, but it’s an LCD and not a very good one at that. Sony discontinued the $6500 70” SXRD and replaced it with a $65,000 70” LCD with inferior performance, good one Sony.
