Guest nugget22 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CAREFOXTEL’s customer service includes installation of the FOXTEL HD+ service, connecting and tuning the iQ2 into a HD ready TV and home theatre system, and providing lifetime warranty on the set-top-unit against manufacturing defects, as well as ongoing service and support for subscribers through FOXTEL’s Customer Call Centre. Additionally, the iQ2 set-top-unit is future-proofed with subscribers benefiting from regular software LOL, so far from the truth!
cnrmlj Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 My favourite is how it says you can watch a channel while recording 2 others. Not from day 1 you can't. Never let the truth get in the way of a good press release hey!
heyskip Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 the ability to record two shows and watch a third show live So on the launch date of 22 June all tuners will be active hey Foxtel. I really don't like the chances of that. Tell you what I would like though, 3/4 of the tuners active = 3/4 payable of my monthly bill
justin25 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 In one video blog with peter smart i think his name is they mention that the 3rd tuner for customers will be available sometime in September.4 tuner for foxtel only is already activated.

Not true. They have copied the software from iQ1 to iQ2 so it only recognises 2 tuners. The new code for 4 tuners is being delivered for testing in September so it will be some months before it is ready for production. This is in the blog before the ESPN one. No mention of this in the press release though. It reads like there will be 4 tuners from day 1. Makes the press release sound better though, which is much more important than having any real substance to it.
suparockin Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Socceroo's game against China in HD - excellent!
