fathead Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 I'm extremely unhappy to find that on connecting up the 7000, the colours take on this awful greenish-yellow tinge. Is this a problem with these or have I yet again purchased one of the dud ones of everything I buy? I haven't tried HDMI yet, but will be. All other equipment is fine (except for the dud DVD recorder I got which gave me such poor image output I stuffed it back in the box that day and banished it). I had a 5000 before that, have foxtel, dvd recorder, upscaling DVD etc - and all work fine thru the various inputs. Only the topfield gives a dreary picture. Thanks! F PS the digital toaster packed up today too and its only a week older than the topfield lol.

No - that isn't a general problem with these - I get a fantastic picture over Component or HDMI. You need to check your cables, of if they check out ok, go back to your retailer and get an exchange. cheers,
pgdownload Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Agree with deanj, its not a general issue with You should check (on both TV and Toppy): 1) The PAL / NTSC settings 2) The color settings 3) The signal settings (RGB, YUV etc) 4) The cable between them (Swap with another type or the same type) - also ensure you don't have the coloured cables mixed up (ie red into green plug) If these fail then take it back for a swap in store Regards Peter Gillespie

Vortical Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Could also be that the red audio plug is switched with the red video plug.

The problem is with both RGB and YUV atm, its not a cable crossover, the colours are all there but with that nasty jaded look... My TV is an LG DLP screen and has no settings for colour tint etc. I'm sure it is the 7000 and when I get the right connector (the TV only has a DTV input) I'll check the HDMI out.
