Dover Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Work is about to sell off 15" Dell monitors for $30ea and I was thinking of picking one up to hang in the bedroom or out at the spa. I already have an AV sender in the bedroom (transmitted from the living room) which works fairly well. My question is, can I go straight from the AV sender into the monitor or do I need something like this to transfer the signal?? http://www.national-tech.com/specs/40h1-50300.htm Unfortunately my AV Sender only runs on Composite RCA so I will need to use a converter to VGA for the monitor. These can be picked up pretty cheaply on ebay though it seems.
alanh Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Dover, This will not work It converts Component analog to VGA. However you can only feed the AV sender with composite signal. So you need a converter from PAL to VGA. The ones I have seen which produce PAL from VGA have awful pictures. AlanH
leesom Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 hey mate is this what your looking for? im currently selling it on ebay, it should do the trick http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...s=tab%3DSelling cheers.
sold Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 You can get a component to VGA converter pretty cheap. e.g. MSY sell the Ritmo TU5088 TV Box for $59. These were also being sold under the 'Gadmei' brand on ebay, not sure if they are still around.
