Art Vandelay Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 the seller has recent feedback from an EP-10 auction also. Great Product, Fast delivery A+++ vbmca_2008 ( 92) 10-Jun-08 17:00 TOSHIBA HD-EP10 HD DVD PLAYER - AS NEW IN BOX - 1080P AU $295.00 could end up going fairly cheap considering some of the prices lately.
Art Vandelay Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 **HD DVD Player is used but in fantastic condition, works perfectly and still has 2 years warranty (from September 2007).** if the word "still" wasnt there, it would probably make more sense.
donkey33 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) One gone. Edited June 10, 2008 by donkey33
tonyjg Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 this EP10s appear to be from an eBay seller who was trying to offload these at quite high prices a few mths ago !!! i recall the so called BONUS of Riddick being included - when it was already in the box. mmmmm - and my spare one hasn't come out of it's box yet ....................................

Alanpartridge Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 not sure i follow you tonyjg.did you buy a player from this seller? if so, what price? It may mean that he is thinking of selling his spare EP-10!
Alanpartridge Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 no. 2 Winning bid: AU $270.00 the two winning bids were pretty reasonable I reckon. If I had the cash, I would have jumped in for a spare machine.

Both bought by the same buyer who also bought one a while back. Must believe that there is some profit in them further down the line.
Art Vandelay Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 not quite as close that time Yorac haha. still a good guess though. its nice to know that people can start getting these players at more reasonable prices. i think the EP-10 is a little bit underrated as a full hd player and upscaler.
crtlover Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Not much use to guys in Aussie - but FYI for any Auckland based Kiwis The Appliance Shed has a big stack of the EP-10 for $198 NZD Needless to say I picked one up
tonyjg Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 It may mean that he is thinking of selling his spare EP-10! yeah - just thinking of my spare (i'm sure that there are probably a few others thinking the same thing - HOWEVER I'm keeping mine ..... for now !!)
the_wonderchild Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 i think they weren't too bad a final price; if i had no player, i'd have jumped on. looks like that's where all the players got to when the firesales began. No wonder we couldn't find many left beyond the 3rd of March.
Mjr69 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I didn't see this before... I hope the winner isn't a member here. A friend bought one off this guy and it worked perfectly on SD DVDs and wouldn't recognise HD DVDs - I upgraded and downgraded firmware etc for him and still no good. The seller said it should have been OK because he only buys factory refurbished units! I told him to send it back but as he lives in a retirement village with absolutely no storage space he had already thrown away the box. It was all too hard for him. To the sellers credit he offered $30 as compensation and my friend was happy to take that rather than mess about. He gave the player to his son who was very happy to have a great upscaling player and he wasn't interested in HD DVD anyway... Caveat Emptor
