anonymous_person Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Dear Foxtel HD subscribers on this forum, I would like to know how much you are paying for SD and HD, and whether if it was worth it for you. I'm interested in knowing. I honestly think the cost associated with Foxtel HD is a lot.
cnrmlj Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I can't justify it at the moment. $25 a month extra to watch the national spelling bee and other such nonsense in HD and one game of NRL (some weeks) just doesn't do it for me. This combined with the fact that about a year ago i paid $395 up front for an iQ and now they want me to pay $10 a month to replace it plus a $200 upgrade fee. It also seems like it has plenty of bugs so i think i will let others iron them out and for some more channels to be available before jumping on board.
loony Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I find it hard to justify (and its only $15 per month extra for me as i have multiroom) Saying that the quality is absolutely stunning and i have found myself constantly watching the HD channels and nothing else
JB2 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Would be interested to see how this HD thing goes over the next 12 months as it has great potential to finally improve the picture quality somewhat. Foxtel have set themselves up beautifully to charge each subscriber an absolute fortune for HD ie charge an extra $2 - $5 per month each time a new channel comes on board in HD ( watch this space ) Meanwhile, I still refuse to pay anything extra for a standard IQ so it is a Pace 420 for now.
