iceblinkfroufrou Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 hi. this is about the digital coax cable that goes from your surround sound amp to the dvd player. i was just looking at these cables and most look like this: http://z.about.com/d/hometheater/1/7/9/9/digitalcoax2.JPG. the one i have has the same ends but the actual cable itself is TINY. it does the job, but i'm sure these thicker ones must be much better at doing it? should i buy a new cable?

Unless your signal is dropping out with the current cable, don't bother changing it.cheers

A digital coax cable should be 75 Ohm. The skinny one might not be. Buy one from Dick Smith to see if it makes any difference, they have a 14 day money back policy.
