I've been looking all over but can't seem to find this one? Someone mentioned there was a box set on HD-DVD but is there a blu-ray copy coming?

I'm hoping we'll get individual releases when it does come. I have no interest in a Mega Super Awesome Ultimate Collectors Boxset, just let me buy the first movie on its own. I know Japan are getting the complete set in November. Maybe we'll get some news soon.

I also prefer to purchase just the first film

There was a news tidbit on DigitalBits some time ago. It's in the works, the set on blu-ray, and might be released in time for Christmas this year I think. It will also include the Animatrix, which wasn't in the HD-DVD set.

Animatrix was in the HD Ultimate box set but it was SD not HD.

On topic though, would be good to get the 3 on BD. Theyre all awesome IMO.

Interesting packaging on the Japanese release. I'd never pay that much but it's been a while since I've seen an intriguing package design like that. I do wish I could've snagged the Alien head a few years back.

Kazz, thanks for clearing that up, you're absolutely right. It was included (in the HD-DVD box) but this time around the Animatrix will be in full high definition. Should be awesome.

A four blu-ray set with all the movies inlcuding Animatrix and all the ultimate edition special features packaged in a plastic kit of Morpheus' vehicle.

The "Nebuchadnezzar" is the name of Morpheus' vehicle.

It’s a Warner release so chances are, it will be region free.

I was lucky enough to get a pre-order in with Amazon UK when they listed the trilogy for about £13 (costing me about AUD $38 delivered at current exchange rates)
