betty boop Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 oh goody given the work theyve done on the scans and restoration for ultimately releasing on hi-def, these shoudl really be well worth the wait. lets hope the french release translates to a worlwide release
the_wonderchild Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Your choice of stick, whip, Mello's ego i meant the other thread i created at about the same time. well, they do say great minds think alike.
jayweb Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/MGM..._(UPDATED)/1802 Guess I'll post here since wonderchilds post is now up for deletion.... Excellent, but no Jaws (not the shark for all you Gen Y'ers )..... I want those shiny teeth in hi-def
Was_There_Then Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 whoops, I replied in the soon-to-be-deleted thread too... Guess I'll post here since wonderchilds post is now up for deletion....Excellent, but no Jaws (not the shark for all you Gen Y'ers )..... I want those shiny teeth in hi-def Here, here. Would love to get the Jaws appearances on blu-ray! Moonraker was a classic... ......with him teaming up with James at the end! He was great in The Spy Who Loved Me too!
Mining Man Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 ~He was great in The Spy Who Loved Me too! And even better in Happy Gilmore.
3DHD Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 This sounds very plausible for a December 08 or March 09 release here in Australia to either coincide with the theatrical release of Qantum of Solace (27/11/2008) or the bluray release of Qantum of Solace sometime in March 09
HumanMedia Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 And now that batch of Bond films has been officially announced for USA release: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=1417
Arecsa Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 No Goldeneye That was Brosnan's best Bond performance, and such a better movie than Die Another Die. Goldeneye also became the greatest FPS ever available on a console.
the_wonderchild Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) No Goldeneye That was Brosnan's best Bond performance, and such a better movie than Die Another Die. Goldeneye also became the greatest FPS ever available on a console. each to their own, but as far as the Goldeneye game being best FPS, i think it was the most overrated FPS of all time. Just my opinion though. Edited June 18, 2008 by the_wonderchild

Goldeneye also became the greatest FPS ever available on a console. Maybe GoldenEye needs a proper fixup? The last "Ultimate Edition" was far from it and dramatically worse image quality than the "Special Edition before it.

Goldeneye also became the greatest FPS ever available on a console. I think Brosnan as Bond was average, at best. I was very impressed with Daniel Craig, (after initially canning him prior to release) Casino Royale rekindled my love affair for the Bond movies which had waned during Brosnan's reign. Very much looking forward to Qantum of Solace.......
Cinetastic Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Frame by frame restoration? Pschaw! More like spot the dropped frames in some very BIG name Lowry processed titles like *#ar Wa#$ and also B#*ds (please don't sue me )
Cucamonga Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 i meant the other thread i created at about the same time.well, they do say great minds think alike. haha, and I replied.
AndrewW Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 as someone who loves all things Bond, and has bought the collection on dvd 3 times (original release, remastered, and then the lowry box set), I think I'll wait for the super-duper, all in one, 22 movie BD box set.

the_wonderchild Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 i'll have to agree with that; except by the time it's released there will probably be 24 or 25 of them by then.
