alanh Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 ozdroggy01, The Northern Beaches is covered by translators on North Head and Bouddi. (It's just north of Broken Bay). The Bouddi transmitters are vertically polarised this means that the antenna must be on its side. A phased array is the best selection here. It is not ideal for North Head. The ABC coverage area maps show you are within their coverage although it will not be super strong. See antenna recommendations in "Get the best reception" post in this strand. In the link within this post is antenna basics link. Within it is drawings to show what antenna types and polarisations look like. In the NSW Link in the "Get the best reception post" you will see that both Bouddi and North Head repeat all TV stations except channel 31. AlanH
