Purchased a Bravia X 46in on the weekend.

Found one minor fault.. the SONY sign dosen't light up, I went into settings and tried turning the option on and off but the sign still dosen't light up.

Apart from that tv is great. No dead pixels, no bright or stuck pixels.

Any one got any ideas on how to fix it?

If it can't be fixed, it dosen't really matter, because I will probably leave it off most of the time anyway.

Thankx everyone

It should light up, and be set to 'On' by default. So, it should work.

I guess its upto you whether you think its worth taking it back, or getting a new one or whatever. It may not bother you, but for some, just knowing that it is 'there' would be enough to demand a new one.

It might just be an LED problem or something minor that can be fixed by a Sony technician. If you dont want to risk swapping your TV out for a new one (and risk getting another one with dead/stuck pixels) then just call up Sony and enquire.

It would bother me.

You might be better off swapping it while it's still under the 2 weeks straight-swap policy. After that you'll have to deal with Sony which will take a whole lot longer.

I don't really watch it, and it doesn't really bother my parents.

I rather get stuck with a dead LED then a dead pixel.

My friend's samsung had a couple of dead pixels, swapped it and got one with a blurry screen, swapped it again and got one with faulty remote control sensor, and then they refused to swap it again.

I will call sony and see if they can fix it.

Guess there is no other way.

I find the light a bit distracting while watching TV (movies at least) so turned it off. With it off it just lights up when you turn the TV on or off standby, which i guess is a nice touch but ultimately i don't think its worth taking it back for this minor issue.
