Arnold Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 When will Austar hurry up and give it's customers what they want. I have lived in an area where i could get Foxtel which is much better than Austar. Why doesn't Austar show all the free to air networks, also why are the so far behind. If i could get Foxtel where i am i would change to Foxtel. One thing i remember which i might go back to is Mystar had all the free to air channels where to normal boxs don't. What Austar needs: 1) Mystar HD 2) Free to air channels 7,9, 10, and ABC (on digital boxs) 3) Tv on demand like Foxtel 4) Program guid like Foxtel with program searches

So, that means anywhere between now and three years time, probably the latter. 2) Free to air channels 7,9, 10, and ABC (on digital boxs) No point. They have SD-FTA tuners on the MyStar, and there are only 4 areas in Australia where you can't get one or the other. If by that you mean FTA on the normal non-Mystar boxes 3) Tv on demand like Foxtel Probably in the works. 4) Program guid like Foxtel with program searches Agreed. I'd like to see a full-text based search (i.e. punch in Frasier with the remote, and Frasier's occurances for the week appear), not teh sort by alphabetical order thing Foxtel has (which is probably useful, but I like a full text search)

If by that you mean FTA on the normal non-Mystar boxes I'm a bit confused there. I would like to be able to get channels 7, 9, and 10 on my Austar Box. I already have a SD set top box but we only get digital reception on ABC and SBS channels(Which also come through Austar) here in Porland Vic.
