any one know any news about when these will be available in australia. It seems like they are available everywhere else in the world except here as yet. (eg US, HK)

The STR-DG920 is supposed to be shipping in the US early June, still hasn't shipped there yet though.

I've been told by one retailer that we can expect the 920 in Australia in August, final retail price still yet to be decided...

the aust dollar is almost on par with US, but I'm sure it would be about double here at about $1200

u have to remember we are a smaller market to the us as well, looks like nothing new on last years modle to me, u might as well get an onkyo 606 or yamaha 663 for that coin

for $900, available in the US for $US300, and btw last time I checked we were a bigger market than HK where it's available for $500 (Aust dollars conversion)

from what I can gather they don't have a switching power supply unfortunately. Still there's always HK, same voltage, and half the price and that's just the rrp.

are the Sony DG820 available yet? Considering this between the Yamaha RX-V663 and Onkyo TX-SR606.

yep that's pretty much the three I'm looking at. The DG820 is on the Sony Aust site, though it seems not quite available yet but soon. Strangley they seem to have completely left off the DG920 or maybe they'll add that later.

I'm thinking of buying an AV receiver, if they are cheaper up in Hong Kong (although with the drop int he A$ not sure anymore) is there a website in hong kong or a company that is better to deal with???
