Yes you'll need two Irdeto card slots.

Try a Strong 4658x with a card and cam slot (you need to purchase an Irdeto cam), or it may be cheaper to simply purchase two Irdeto stb's.

As for reception Setanta is on Optus D2 at 152 deg East and Selectv is on Pas 8 at 166 deg east. So two lnb's mounted with a magic mount or similar is the go. An 85cm+ is recommended however a 65cm will work if you're east coast/ capital city based.

Line the dish up on Optus D1 (160) or Optus C1 (156), lock it off and then add and tune the two lnb's to 152 and 166.

Have a look at this 245Kb pdf 'how to' I wrote some time back. It's for Optus C1 and IS8, but you'll get the idea. :)

2 boxes are possible i guess you can get select boxes for nothing and i guess it would be suitable for setanta yes?

would the install result in to wall port having to be run to individual boxes via cat6 cord?

any idea on the cost of installing a dish that size on a tin roof?

thanks Nick

Installing multi lnb set-ups on a single dish is unfortunately not standard fare in Australia.

Your typical satellite installer will wish to install two 65cm dishes.

Yes, you will need two by runs of RG6 from the dish(s) and two F-type connectors on a wall plate for each satellite.

There are conflicting stories on using a legitimate subscribed Selectv box on Senanta.

I cannot advise you with 100% certainty there.

However the Selectv line is that once you have activated their box (your box actually) on Selectv, it is no longer locked to the Selectv card and you are free to use the STB for other Irdeto2 services.

Could I know the retail price of IRDETO CAMs in Australian market ?

We now offer official IRDETO CAMs, and we are looking for the distributors.

Thanks

A$100 typically.

Feel free to offer umm, say a 'freezone' cam, or one that we can 'edit' - so we can enable use of our Ird subscription cards in our own gear again.
