kulfi Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 i have been offered a Sony Bravia KDL40D3100 40 " for $1670is this a great price, an OK price, or just a normal price ? is the Sony worth say $2-300 more than the Samsung LA40R81BDX ? This price is good but it makes the Sony at least $300 more expensive than the Samsung (which goes for $1350 or less). The Sony only has 1 year's warranty. Getting 2 years' extra warranty on that will cost between $100 to $200, making the Sony $400 to $500 costlier, if not more. For your money, you're getting the 100Hz Motion Flow feature. Is it worth paying 30% more for this feature alone ? You decide.
magnatron Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I dunno. I bought a Panasonic 42" for $1450, which can run at 100hz.... bla bla What I did find was the more Qs I asked at different shops the more I learned (but the sales people do sometimes contradict each other).
