Anyone have the telephone number to call these people? I can't find it anywhere. I had it once, but lost it. It's been 2 months, and no cheque from them. :(

Hi Cralis,

I waited for about 5 weeks and tried to call them. I couldn't find any telephone no. on their website. Eventually, I used the link in "Contact us" (http://www.samsung.com/au/info/contactus.html#) to send them a email. A week later, a guy from the company handling the promotion called me and asked me to send him the claim form and invoice. (Although I attached the required documents in the original email to Samsung, only my contact details were passed to the promotion company in a spreadsheet.) My claim was approved on 20 May but I'm still waiting for the cheque. The approval email said "Pls allow up to 15 days for you cheque to be dispatched."

Here we go again. Another cashback or redemption gone wrong. You would have thought they learnt something from their free LCD promo but no, they're still at it.

I sent in mine about a month ago. I guess its time to fight with Samsung again. Maybe send a letter to Herald Sun again.

Read my story on how unfairly the Office of Fair Trading treats customers like us in the "Samsung Free LCD waiting room" thread to know it won't get you anywhere. It's almost as if multi-billion dollar companies have the right to push people around.

Can you imagine what the bank would have done to us if we hadn't paid our credit card bills in time ? Samsung is in the same situation where they promised payment but didn't deliver on time. When I raised this point to the OFT, the woman there lost her temper and started abusing me.

Kulfi - good to know the OFT is helping out the consumer as per usual (lots of sarcasm there)

Also I just called about my cheques on the samsung promo number I gave and was told mine were posted yesterday and that I should have them by friday. Long wait on hold but pretty quick and efficient from there.

My wife found the number, and called. My claim has indeed been approved, but they say it will be sent (the cheque) at the end of next week. It sounded like they are waiting for the promo to end... End of May? So, things look good - for all of us.

My cheque arrived yesterday - about 8 weeks from when I posted the claim to them. Not too bad in my opinion, but glad it didn't take any longer.

is anyone else waiting for their cash back cheque?

i purchased a samsung TV on the 31st May 08 and mailed the docs soon after.

i got an email saying they confirmed my claim on 17th Jul 08

but still nothing to this date (3months later)
