I`m looking for a sub $1000 reciever that supports all the new hd audio formats ie dtsHD and dtsMA and so on. Any recommendations or deal going around.

I would try and get the 705 at the sub 1k price point. Dont know where from, but apparently a few people have managed this.

I picked up the 705 last week for $999 and I think its a much better option than the 605 for $680. The preouts alone is worth the extra in case you decide to improve things in the future. The new 706 will be out later this year but will be over $1700rrp
