For music only and <$2K, get a quality sealed sub IMO. Locally made will get you best bang for buck

Gutty Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 While i agree sub brand does not need to match your mains, i did end up with the Focal SW800 to go with my 826's, for three reasons. 1, i got a ripper deal on it while buying my 826's and CC 800. 2, it visually matches the fronts, i like this as does my better half. 3, it's not a bad sub for it's size.(only 11" driver) and really didn't want anything huge where i'm currently living. And FWIW i'm more than happy with my purchase.
