Optus D1 Satellite Help?

hi, im trying to find the optus d1 sat on strong receiver, but its not on the list, how do add it? im trying o get the free new zealand channels.

is their another optus sat that can get me those channels.

Absolutely no chance of receiving a NZ satellite footprint beam in Perth.

It will probably not be on the menu as it was put up in orbit recently.

It was known as Optus B1 and may be in your menu as that.

If not, you will need to rename one of the satellites as D1.

You will not get the stuff you want though, but can get ABC and SBS Australian cahannels, plus occasional feeds.

i have optus b1/ku on my list but the symbol rate is 22500 and when i put it in i the signal is 0

I suggest you visit www.vetrun.com, have a read and introduce yourself.

Plenty of helpful folk there will teach you how to acquire a satellite and configure your STB.

certainly not with any domestic dish... probably struggle to get much in the way of sidelobes with a 10-20 meter dish but I haven't studied D1 ERP's....

And then there's the issue of a nearby transponder on the Australian beam.
