Nah! Not as good as Franin's.

Didnt get to see Franins PIC's of his setup, as it just has the attachment id's in his post now. WOuld love to see the setup though.

As for not being as good, i'm staying neutral :ninja: . It was more to point out what someone else is doing with the same Hardware (AVP/POA). Franins is definately drool worthy thats for sure.

Also it would be great to see a finished view.

They may have been lost in the crash last week.

Im looking at doing a 7.1 system.Im running a 5.1 at them moment but looking at putting ceiling speakers above my head for the rear surrounds.I have bipole at the moment on the sides which reflect to the back wall creating that rear centre.I've noticed focals do ceiling speakers and with all this 7.1 dts hd ma coming out im interstresed to hear it. Which would be best ceilings pointing down or on the wall pointing down on an angle?

Whilst a good AVR will cope with speakers at different heights if you look at all the guidelines on speaker placement from DTS, DD, the AVR manufactures etc they do all prefer speakers in roughly the same plane. So one (lone?) vote for wall placement. You also do need to get the angles between them all right.

IIRC Curious said he had to actually angle the cones on the Triads, although he can correct me if I misheard him.

They look like a great choice for a 7.1 setup Franin. Just had a look at the specs of them, they certainly appear to be able to fill your needs and match the rest of your system qite well. Just wish i could hear that setup of yours :D . Hope it all works out well for you.

Could it be possible to ask of you to re-do your pics in the threads i posted above, Please.

Howdy all,

Actually the Triads that I chose are the Omni Gold In-Ceiling - and they are already set-up with a 30 degree angle, so it's simply a case of installing them with the angled woofer/tweeter facing the direction you want them to play at :)

Nice choice there with the Focals Franin :D

Cheers,

Curious

Thanks Curious,

I just have to say that when your sitting on the back wall like I am the ceiling speakers are the best choice. We demoed a pair also in there theatre room not focals but the amount of info I was missing is unbelievable, especailly with all this new audio. When I originally had book sheleves pointed at an angle it did not sound good at all but with ceiling I could hear the difference. Thanks guys for all your help.

my guess is when i have them installed next week is to have the tweeter aimed at my seating pos prefabaly.

thanks!

As I said, I've got two as surrounds for my 5.1 and I think they are awesome.

I've thought about getting two more for sooooooooooo long to get 7.1 but never quite get there.

And not just when sitting on the back wall either, IMHO.

I've done a bit of research last night talked to the guys at West coast and Im going for the Profile IW908.I guess with all the gear I have I might not be doing it any justice with the chorus ceiling speakers.
