And I see I am not alone. See, mr BlackFlash? This is exactly what I told you would happen when I got all the abuse weeks and weeks ago. If hddvduser has just released the product, like anyone else does, he would have sold way more than the paltry few he has sold so far. There are clearly people who want this upgrade and they are happy to pay 40 bucks for it but they are NOT happy to be ****ed over like this, putting their names on a freakin' list, waiting till who knows when etc.

Likewise also. Not a good result, but hardly surprising really. I must say that TBF, neuty and others have put a lot of effort into this, with pretty much nothing to show for it. Very disappointing hddvduser, after your promises that we would see this!
hddvduser Posted June 9, 2008 Author Posted June 9, 2008 just wanted to let people know , ive refunded everyperson except KjKAus as i don t have his details to , im not going to release the firmware im sorry , i feel sorry for the people who did send money , ive refunded all the money and people who do know me in australia personally know , it was never about the money , as i dont need it .. yes the firmware comes from me no body else .... ive never lied or screwed a sinlge person over in australia or the world.. digital spy , mate i dont think they are a laughing for wanting firmware to make there player region free, i havent even been through the thread to read anything ive stayed away , as i guess some people causing the trouble or what ever trouble has been written are probably a few people who wanted there hands on the firmware , im suprised why so many people bag me and put rubbish on me , who dont know me.. all ive ever done was help people with problems with hddvd players, anyway im sorry and hope you enjoy your player KjKAus please contact me with you account details so i can refund you thank you ....... you will never get it now kingfats ....

What a sad day :-( Well at least we got out money back, that tells me that hddvduser is honnest. I´m more dissapointed with all those troll´s, making a lot of noise in this thread. Still don´t understand why they should hassle about this arramgment, they had no interest in the firmware. They should have been banned from the forum TOPICSPOILERS. But maybe someday hddvduser send me a PM regarding the firmware being released .

I feel sorry for all of you who put your faith in this particular process but it's pretty clear that the board admin was no longer prepared to tolerate this. If you wanted some credit hddvduser you should have just released it rather than going through that circus, now you can sit on it yourself and be known as the person who would rather keep on with a stupid grudge and keep it for himself rather than do the decent thing and just release it. bertha Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Completely gutted to hear this... been watching with my gob firmly shut the passed few weeks as I felt that the negativity was going to kill it - thanks to hddvduser and the mods of this forum for their patience with all the crapola that has been endured over the passed 6 months. Thanks also to the various guys who got knocked for their efforts despite spending their time and energy with the best of intentions trying to get this released. I hope that there is a change of heart some time in the future and that the rotten apples who have spoiled this particular barrel don't get to have the last laugh. Peace berth

What i can't understand is, if you don't need the money, why did you need 80 people? Only the most wildly optimistic or naive would believe that the original 80 people with EP30/A30's would have come back. Maybe you needed to compromise? What did you have to lose? Sure I'm bitter, and drummed up a few people from various forums all for nothing. I know you've done some great things in the past, but sadly this isn't one of them. I'm certain if you'd released it to those of us who had paid without delay, you'd have your 80 now.

There was a medium to obtain the firmware, the numbers didn't stack up (let's not get into the reasons why - I'm well aware of both sides to the pros and cons of the "list"). Maybe at some point in the future it can be re-visited with a better strategy, but ultimately this time around it didn't work out.
