Tonight I gave in to the dark side and joined Club Elektra. I placed my order for the Theatron and it should arrive in 2 -3 weeks time. I was kicking myself that I didn't join the last group buy but in the end I got a rippa price (Thanks to mr campbell!) so I'm a happy chappy. Can't wait for it to arrive, it should make a fantastic addition to my room and hopefully bring the best out of my speakers!

congrats jaenschw ! I can just about remember how thrilled to bits I was back when I ordered mine as well :)

and should work a treat in that nice system as yours as well

2-3 weeks a bit of a wait, but well worth it and and you'll be enjoying it before you know it :)

The Elektra Theatron is making my old Acoustic Research M4's sing like they haven't ever before ! Not bad for speakers that are more than 14 years old !

I am now so convinced that I can improve my system even more by looking into the Paradigm Signature speakers ... I have got a serious dose of upgraditis ! :huh:

Whist this thread is hot and the other elektra one is dead, I couldnt get a mono cable longer than 1.5m for the trigger. Jaycar sold me a 3m and said stereo would work fine. I did a search on other forums (as ours was dead at the time) and seems others had no problems. I went ahead and hooked it all up and all was good. Unless anyone knows of any major problems that this may cause I will leave it as is.

Will do, 1.5m was a real stretch and probably would have bent the pins. Also I wouldnt be able to pull out any components without it going ping.

I did a fair amount of testing on it the other day and worked without a hitch. Ive now gone back to leaving it on again so have disabled the trigger.

If in doubt you could get two and a joiner..

Remembering its only for switching,it has noooo effect on SQ... :)

It's amazing how many people feel the need to upgrade after purchasing an Elektra. They should come with a warning on the box. :D

No reason why it shouldnt work - I use stereo 3.5mm cables for both triggers and IR.
