V DREAM thru my yammie and noticed the sound would drop out now and again also when it did the "display" on the front of the yammie would flick as well . Never had this prob. b4 i.e watching dvd`s , so am wondering if it was 10`s transmission ??.....anyone have the same sound problem ??

I find that if lights in the rooms near our rumpus room are turned on/off, I can get a loud chirp from my surround sound system, even if it's in standby
Rocean Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 ive experienced this problem as well.. ive put my TV volume up as well as my receiver.. my receiver... yammy1800 starts to flicker and sound gets dropped out.. but the volume from the TV still continues to be normal.. so now i think that it seems to be a receiver problem.. BUT.... today my mate who has a onkyo 605 tells me that he suffers from the same exact problem... any particular idea anyeone?

Devices are connected to a surge protector along with TV and a few other devices... i haven't watched too much fta recently... so i really haven';t had a problem yet.... lets see if it re-appears agian...

Don't bet on it. I've been having these problems in the two years I've had HDTV, and when I brought up these issues with someone from WIN, he laughed it off (literally) and said that it was probably my equipment which was at fault.
