damoninja Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi all, I'm using a TH-50PX70A panasonic 50" tv, resolution is 1360x786. I can use analogue on this display great, but i get a bit of interfernce from my nvidia graphics card. Anyway, it looks perfect apart from small lines you cant notice unless youre close. It shows up worse on some images. When i use DVI with this screen resolution, it looks like crap. It's as if its blocky almost, it's like the pixels dont line up with the ones on the screen which is fine for movies but absolutly crap for text, windows and what not... Its all distorted and impossible to read... If anyone can provide assistance id really appreciate it, cheers.
Shonky* Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Sounds like when running DVI/HDMI you aren't at the panels native resolution and the scaling isn't very good. It's possible that the HDMI input won't accept the native resolution as an input though. i.e. it might only accept "broadcast resolutions" like 1920x1080i or 720x576p and not "PC resolutions"
Ali AR Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) right click on the desktop click on "properties" go to the "settings" tab it should be showing you 2 monitor screens in there labeled 1 and 2 where normally 1 is your VGA output resolution and 2 is the secondary output resolution click on 2 and select the appropriate resolution for you screen i.e. 1360x 768 i use a dvi --> hdmi conveter and a 2m hdmi cable from "Foxy" and it displays perfectly on my Pio Kuro edit: Spelling Edited May 12, 2008 by Ali AR
digitalhome Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Use a custom resolution of 1216 x 684 @ 50HZ and that will fix the problem.
