harlo Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hey Guys I know Amazon quote their shipping times on their website, had a look and at 18 to 32 business days I was kinda leaning toward the express option Has anybody had any first hand experience? Thanks!
Chesty Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 You are better going standard. Expect 2 weeks for that one. Expedited is unreliable and while used to take 1 week, rarely does now.
taspool Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I always use standard shipping, average delivery is about two weeks. It has sometimes taken up to four weeks , and occasionally just over one week, but two would be most common.
Blown Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 my last lot came in just under 2 weeks with standard shipping
holmesy999 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 my last experience with amazon: I ordered 3 dvds - paid for "expedited" shipping - ordered on the 5th April(a saturday, so they won't have processed it until Monday the 7th I guess), got them on the 22 April - their estimate was it would be delivered on the 29th April, at least it was quicker than that! I don't think paying the extra made it come any quicker
harlo Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 would you insure the goods? or are they normally pretty good?
holmesy999 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 all comes in a strong cardboard box, and very low chance of breaking - so I wouldn't bother
yasitha Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Ordered 10 discs on the 7th, shipped on the 9th, delivered today! Less than two weeks with standard shipping My last shipment took closer to a month though, so it's a bit hit and miss. They leave it outside in a cardboard box as well so there's no tracking info, but I've heard Amazon has great customer service if you run into problems with missing packages.
