In A Spin Over The Hdd

Hi All

Probably a stupid question, but, does the hard disc on the P1 spin all the time the unit is on -- or does it run only when Timeslip is enabled?

BTW, I realise it runs when recording.

The latest firmware upgrade seems fine.

Anybody had probs getting output through to the tv when using HDMI and both units are cold?

Whoever said that the P1 is a nice piece of gear was spot on!

I have the "Timeshift" buffer on all the time and spend 75%+ of my time watching pre-recorded shows, so my HDD is always spinning.

I think regardless on whether "Timeshift" is enabled the HDD spins up at initial boot.

I have no issues with HDMI output, though some guys seem to have issues with Sony LCDs
