Fujitsu Pds4234w Questions

Hi There,

I've got a Fujitsu PDS4234W as a donation of sorts, it was actually being thrown out in the council cleanup. (Up this way with some people, sense is inversely proportional to how much money they have ) but I'm not complaining

Anyway the reason it was being thrown out is because the owner got another newer one from his son and this one has a crack the whole length of the screen in the front protective glass.

It doesn't affect the picture in any way except you can see a small dark line sometimes when there's highlights on one section of the screen, otherwise it's WAAAAYYYY better than my old 68cm CRT.

Wondering if anyone knows of a source for or has a dead 42" panel:

I'm after the front glass (actual dimensions of the glass are 982mm x 548mm with the black mask taking that down to 923mm x 523mm visible portion) I don't see any reason why I couldn't salvage the glass from another Brand & Model entirely if it's the right size

a remote

and some sort of stand for it as it doesn't have one at all

I am assuming that with a display of this age it isn't worth spending much money on it.

Hi,

I can't help you find your bits and pieces, but am in a similar position to you.

A friend recently bought his 3rd plasma screen, and so gave me his old Fujitsu pds4242w. It works great. However I am looking for a stand for it (not a wall bracket).

I've tried Fujitsu, and a number of other outlets, but no one knows of where to get one.

Does anyone know where i can get a stand for this old model Fujistu 42 inch? Or are there generic stands around that fit any number of screens???
