scottb7211503559952 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Just had a guy from a bay Aerial and TV company here at Nelson Bay. He pulled down the old VHF and UHF antennas and fitted a bowtie style phased array job. Also fitted a new wall plate in the loungeroom. $280 all up, inc $120 for a 2nd hand antenna.

lesftv Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 (edited) $120 for a 2nd hand antenna? Why didn't he install a brand new one? It seems to me that this guy is very naughty. You haven't said if you are still having problems with your TV reseption (which I assume is the reason you called the guy in the first place). Where are you in the Nelson Bay area? lesf Edited May 10, 2008 by lesftv

Where are you in the Nelson Bay area? lesf I'm located up the top end of Wallawa Rd. Got line of sight to GanGan at the end of the street. Seems ok now. My Toppy and HTPC were getting a mix of newy and gan gan channels. Down at Corlette where I lived prior to last week I had it set up for Newy and that worked perfectly. Was probably here for 45mins which cost me $140 labour, $120 for the antenna, and $20 to replace wallplate. Probably just sour grapes on my part as it was more than I had planned for.
