Sorry for being such a noob Just like you have connected a source (DVD) to your TV to then allow it to display sound/picture, you will also need to do the same to pick up FTA transmissions. This entails you to connect an antenna lead between your TV and aerial (either internal rabbit ears type or external one on the roof of your building). Once connected you will need to scan for channels for both analogue and DVB to get access to the FTA transmissions. This should have been done as part of the initial setup process. Reread your manual - first few pages at least - and that should explain things for you. Once the scan is completed, your screen will become a TV EDIT: I just reread your post, and it now seems what is fact is going on is that you have the DVD hooked up to the antenna, so I presume you have scanned it the FTA channels on your DVD, and you want to display the FTA channels through the DVD's tuner? Has your DVD got an analogue only or SD tuner as well. Wouldn't you want to use your TV's HD tuner for access to HD channels and the better PQ?

Sorry not well explianed but I have the antenna lead only to the TV ----nothing going to the dvd recorder so I will do as you suggest and the tv and dvd recorder is connected via hdmi Cheers Matt
diesel Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I believe the Samsung have a DTV button on the remote. This will select the DTV tuner input and will allow you to watch digital FTA....after the channels have been scanned in of course.
