Trigg Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Given my Region B PS3, just wondering if anybody knows what the region coding will be on the US release of the POTC discs?
Hydrology Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Given my Region B PS3, just wondering if anybody knows what the region coding will be on the US release of the POTC discs? This is a Disney title, so Im guessing Region A.
Trigg Posted May 1, 2007 Author Posted May 1, 2007 This is a Disney title, so Im guessing Region A. Thought that would be the case, but I live in hope until it is released!
AndrewW Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Thought that would be the case, but I live in hope until it is released! I think your hopes will be dashed. My understanding is that Disney are probably the greatest supporters/pushers of region coding, and I can't see them releasing these blockbusters without it Andrew.
Hydrology Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 You are spot on Andrew, Disney are by far the strongest region code supporters and always have been Fox would be, if only they were capable of actually releasing BR discs!
momaw Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Trigg I wouldn't stress to much, local release is "supposedly" 6 June which is only 2 weeks after US release. Only problem is those local prices, double sized "fat" bluray cases and the butt ugly OFLC logo ruining your covers

momaw Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 But apart from that it's all good Andrew. If only they could get other releases out locally as quickly. Yes this is going to be a mjor format pusher, but other titles are sorely needed - on both formats - or pepole are going to give up very quickly
Skid_MacMarx Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 what happen to Disney releasing Starship Troopers locally? BTW I thought it was Fox the stringent one However Disney have started to release multi-region discs http://bluray.lindsite.dk/ then again...even it will be locally released .. but at what price?.... you may find the US version one cheaper.. Amazon notes if the title is
