digitalj Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I have an old 51cm JVC tv, the model number is C-20K1AU. The Short circuiting is occuring between the internal transformer and a capacitor which is close to it, I'm not sure, but it looks like the transformer may have moved itself closer to the capacitor somehow. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to fix this? I don't think it's worth getting it repaired by a technician due to it's age, but if it's something I can do, I'll do it. If anyone else has this model, it's the red capacitor next to the transformer that's Short circuiting with the transformer. EDIT: just thought, If I put rubber between the 2 things, should this help?

It'll cost you more to get it repaired than buying a new one.
