Santa1503559644 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 How long have Nine been "doing a Seven" and displaying an ad for a manufacturer when putting up a graphic to alert that a programme is available in HD? In Perth at least, Nine hadn't given any indication on the SD channel when programmes were in HD, and I think its good that they now do ... but do they have to stoop to a tacky ad for a Korean conglomerate? Seven's Panasonic bullshit was dropped. Will Nine drop their crap? BTW: Since I wasn't watching the HD, can I assume Nine Perth haven't yet watermarked the HD?

About a week now. I saw it on "Joan Of Arcadia" two Sundays ago (one of the only shows I watch on Nine!) They bollocksed it up, too - they overlaid the regular "Available in HD" on top of the Samsung logo and then hastily removed it I recorded JOA last Sunday from the HD channel on the PC. The ad wasn't there on the HD version, but curiously, the "Available in HD" was In Perth at least, Nine hadn't given any indication on the SD channel when programmes were in HD, and I think its good that they now do ... but do they have to stoop to a tacky ad for a Korean conglomerate? Seven's Panasonic bullshit was dropped. Will Nine drop their crap? It's tacky, yes, but probably only going to happen for a limited time. Just a contract thing. And hey, if it helps sell more full HD panels, thereby driving the networks to provide more HD, all the better
