I tried another sony ericsson blue tooth headset and it didnt work. This one should be fine.

All Bluetooth headsets are compatable with the PS3. Some work better than others though. I bought a Blue Ant X3 the other day and it seems to work fine, it's just that there doesn't seem to be that many people using them in-game.

I play Resistance online alot and you only hear a few people occassionally, my problem is that it's usually late at night when the house is quiet and me seemingly talking to myself while playing a game doesn't look to great.

Not any. I purchased a HB-35 Sony ericsson blue tooth headset from ebay and the headset worked fine, just not with the PS3.

So buyer beware.
